Tyler, The Creator Brings Explosive Energy to All Points East with Flame-Filled Headline Set

In the first of two massive headline shows, the Grammy Award-winning Tyler, The Creator brought a spectacular pyrotechnics-packed production to All Points East festival.

Tyler, The Creator turned London’s Victoria Park into a pyrotechnic-fuelled spectacle on Friday night, delivering a high-octane headline performance at All Points East despite the rain, with an adoring East London crowd embracing every moment.

In the first of two headline appearances at this year’s festival, the Grammy Award-winning rapper, producer and fashion icon transformed the stage into a fictional Victoria Park Tube station, complete with a full-scale underground carriage and Hackney Wick-inspired set design. Opening with ‘Big Poe’ from his latest album Don’t Tap the Glass, Tyler launched straight into a visually spectacular set of explosive pyrotechnics, theatrical staging and crowd-pleasing tracks spanning his career.

Dressed in a striking red leather suit that channelled the unmistakable 1980s style of Michael Jackson, Tyler commanded the stage with the swagger and theatricality of a performer entirely at home in the spotlight. Above him, the famously unpredictable East London skies opened, but the rain did little to dampen the enthusiasm of thousands of devoted fans, who sang, danced and moshed their way through the evening.

With the audience roaring along to ‘She’, ‘Earfquake’, ‘Noid’, ‘Darling, I’ and ‘Are We Still Friends?’, Tyler repeatedly ventured onto the runway separating the crowd before climbing aboard the Underground carriage to scenes of delirium. It was a fittingly cinematic return to London for an artist whose relationship with the city stretches back to his earliest days in music.

With stage set in the guise of a fictional Victoria Park Tube station and Hackney Wick, the rap legend made east London his own.

It was a day of leaders in their fields with the likes of Rex Orange County, Turnstile and Mariah The Scientist performing on the bill.    

In a highly anticipated London return, Tyler, the Creator took to the Underground-styled stage set, complete with its full scale train carriage. Pyrotechnics exploded from the off, as the California rapper/producer opened with ‘Big Poe’ from recent album Don’t Tap the Glass. From there, he powered through a crowd pleasing set featuring tracks from across his discography, including, ‘She’, ‘Earfquake’, and ‘Are We Still Friends?’. 

Tyler made use of the runway parting the audience, giving high energy renditions of ‘Noid’, and ‘Darling, I’, before mounting the underground carriage to the delight of a frenzied crowd. 

Midway through the set, he spoke of his early beginnings in music and the role the UK played: “London, London, London, London. It’s weird, I was bigger in London for a second. I have a special relationship with y’all.” 

He added: “The first label I signed  to was XL. They’re based in London. Me and Adele were label mates.”

The bass-driven ‘Earfquake’ had the audience in full singalong toward the end of the performance, before 2017 fan-favourite, ‘See You Again’ closed the set in emphatic fashion. 

Earlier, double Grammy Award-winners, Turnstile took to the West Stage after a tribute walkout to ‘Islands In The Stream’ by Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers. The hardcore outfit burst into action; the moshing crowd visible on screen with crowdsurfers from all backgrounds pulled smiling out by security. 

Singer Brendan Yates kept the energy at a high throughout as the band rattled through fan favourites, including from the acclaimed 2025 album Never Enough, along with a cover of The Stone Roses’ ‘I Wanna Be Adored’

The frontman acknowledged London as an important part of the band’s history, telling the crowd: “It’s a second home for us. (Guitarist) Meg is from here. Thank you for always making it feel like home.”

Rex Orange County took to the East Stage with ‘Apricot Princess’ and then ‘So Far/So Good’. By the third song, ‘Amazing’, he was out on the walkway, among the thousands of fans singing every word. The crowd showed their love with chants of: “Oh, Rex Orange County.”

Mariah the Scientist emerged amid roars from the crowd. The Atlanta R&B star performed songs from her 2025 album Hearts Sold Separately, with the audience singing along to every word. Three songs in, she stepped to the front of the stage to throw her hat into the delighted crowd, with one audience member at the barrier catching it and holding on tight for the rest of the set.

Legendary Virginia rap duo Clipse, Pusha-T and Malice, returned last year with Let God Sort ‘em Out, their first album in more than 15 years. Their emotional West Stage set included ‘The Birds Don’t Sing’, about the loss of their parents, with family photos displayed on screen.

Brit rapper Fakemink won hearts with an unexpected singalong moment in the North Arena tent, performing a remix of Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Time After Time’ after telling the crowd: “Think about the one ex that got away. Think about her. There’s only one thing. There’s love.”

Genre-blurring collective AG Club brought the perfect vibes to the mid-afternoon sun with a series of grooves including breakout 2020 viral hit ‘Memphis’.

New Orleans rapper La Reezy was a force on stage at the North Arena, where he opened proceedings. Commanding the crowd from the off, he had the audience bouncing in unison throughout the set. In between songs he addressed the packed out tent, “Can ya’ll make some noise for All Points East, Tyler, The Creator, and all of the artists playing here today.” 

Later he added, “My home is New Orleans, but today my new family is here in London.”

On the Rising Stage, fresh from a support slot with Sienna Spiro, multi-instrumentalist Pour La Vie wowed the crowd with her unique sound. Pour La Vie said: “I just love how multicultural London is. I look out there, All Points East, and I see people from so many different places. I feel right at home.”

The X Stage was a hub of emerging talent – with Rochelle Jordan and Liim bringing US vibes to the East London crowd.  

Last weekend, Jorja Smith and Tems were the opening headliners for All Points East 2026 on Friday, before Lorde on Saturdayand Deftones at Outbreak Fest on Sunday. Tyler, The Creator’s second headline slot is on Saturday 29th August, with Twenty One Pilots on Sunday 30 August. Lido Festival takes place on Bank Holiday Monday (31 August) with headliner Maribou State.
