As Royal Mail celebrates Duran Duran’s The Wedding Album and Oasis return to the global spotlight, the British artist and filmmaker behind defining imagery for both bands unveils unseen Oasis footage and new work in Soho ahead of Frieze Week
From Duran Duran’s The Wedding Album and ‘Ordinary World’ to Oasis’s ‘Live Forever’, British artist, filmmaker and creative director Nick Egan helped create some of the defining imagery of British music culture. Now his work returns to the spotlight at a timely moment.
Royal Mail has selected Duran Duran’s 1993 self-titled album, widely known as The Wedding Album, with artwork created by Egan with designer Eric Roinestad, as one of eight album covers featured on its new Duran Duran Special Stamps, announced on 10 September and going on general sale on 17 September. Egan also directed the music video for the album’s international hit ‘Ordinary World’.
At the same time, renewed global attention surrounds Oasis following the band’s reunion. Egan has his own significant place in the band’s visual history, having directed six Oasis videos, including the US versions of ‘Supersonic’ and ‘Live Forever’. This October, those strands come together in London with the first presentation of Egan’s new original artwork, Live Forever, and approximately ten minutes of previously unseen Oasis footage added to the award-winning documentary about his life and work, Creative Vandal.
Sartorial Correctness with Nick Egan: Creative Vandal – Live Forever: The Extended Remix takes place at Karma Sanctum Soho on 12 and 13 October 2026, immediately ahead of Frieze London.
Hosted by Karma Sanctum Soho, the project is presented, produced and curated by British-Spanish creative director, curator and cultural producer Catalina Guirado.
From‘Ordinary World to Live Forever
Egan emerged from London’s punk scene before building an international career across art, graphic design, fashion, music and film. His collaborators include Bob Dylan, The Clash, Ramones, Malcolm McLaren, Duran Duran, INXS, Iggy Pop, Sonic Youth, Kylie Minogue, Alanis Morissette and Oasis.
Duran Duran bassist John Taylor also appears in Creative Vandal, directed by London-based Italian filmmaker Peter Pahor.
For the Soho presentation, Pahor has expanded the documentary with approximately ten minutes of previously unseen Oasis footage examining Egan’s work with the band and the creative history surrounding ‘Live Forever’. The event will also mark the first presentation of Egan’s new original artwork, Live Forever.
Featuring late cultural figures including Elvis Presley, Marc Bolan, Kurt Cobain, Sid Vicious, Jimi Hendrix and Keith Flint, the work explores mortality, memory and why certain musicians – and the images created around them – retain their cultural power across generations.
A signed and individually numbered archival print, Live Forever – Sanctum Soho Edition, will also be released in an edition of 100.

From Cool Britannia to Cultural Legacy
For Catalina Guirado, the project brings together several strands of a career that began inside the cultural world Egan helped to shape. An international model in the 1990s, she became known to British television audiences as The Gorgeous Girl on Channel 4’s cult TFI Friday and was recognised as one of the ‘It Girls’ associated with the Cool Britannia era. A singer-songwriter as well as a broadcaster and model, Guirado was also signed to Universal Music Publishing.
For more than 15 years, she has worked to preserve and develop the artistic legacy of her father, Spanish artist Juan Antonio Guirado, bringing his work to new audiences through exhibitions, design and immersive media. She is founder of Guirado Design Studio and Creative Director of the Guirado Estate, with a multidisciplinary practice spanning creative direction, curation, digital art, sound and art-led wellbeing experiences.
The Nick Egan project expands that work into presenting significant artists and image-makers whose contribution to popular culture deserves renewed recognition.
Guirado said: “I came of age in front of the camera during the 1990s, working as a model and appearing on Channel 4’s TFI Friday. I wasn’t watching from the sidelines; I was part of that scene.
“At a time when album artwork has lost the place it once held and music videos can be created on a phone or generated using AI, celebrating human artistry and preserving creative legacy matters more than ever. Nick is an important artist and image-maker whose work deserves to be recognised and introduced to a new generation.”
One Night Only Event Ahead of Frieze Week
Following an invitation-only launch on Monday 12 October, the project opens to the public for one night only on Tuesday 13 October, with capacity limited to 60 guests.
The evening includes a screening of Creative Vandal: The Extended Remix, followed by Nick Egan in conversation with Catalina Guirado, an audience Q&A, drinks and an intimate exhibition viewing.
Taking place immediately before Frieze London and Frieze Masters, 14–18 October, the independently produced project playfully bills itself as “The Unofficial Frieze Week Kick-Off” – a nod to Egan’s punk roots and an irreverent prelude to one of London’s biggest weeks for contemporary art.
